    WIP Critique The Morrigan, 75mm

Nice figure! Like the idea of a stained glass window, especially if back lit! Would a large slab of stone [her throne?] be left unworked on top of [man made] steps? How about a rookery [crowery??] to fill top spaces, or some sort of rough hewn 'bird cage' ? Following with interest! BR Ian

    New film

Operation Mincemeat is an upcoming British war drama film directed by John Madden. The film is based upon Ben Macintyre's book on the British Operation Mincemeat during the Second World War. It will be distributed by Warner Bros. International in much of Europe, including the UK, and through...

    Suggestions for "Maid Marion" (75mm)

I have just finished reading "Crusades", the first part of " Guy of Gisborne" by LJ Hutton. [Quite a good read!]. Set towards the end of Richard's reign [1190 ish] - It portrays Marion as a 'sister' from the Hospitallers. Perhaps a suitable nun figure? Black outfit, white cross - change head...

    French Cavalry carbine

Swivel ramrods were very popular on Naval pistols too - understandable I suppose! I have fired flintlock carbines and can vouch that trying to replace the ramrod [friction fit] whilst moving was awkward - probably near impossible on a moving horse! Not familiar with French muskets, so may be...

    Roman Legion Eagles

Nap, thanks for the reply. Books look good - perhaps a trip to the book store is needed! Will enquire locally about 3D printer people but am really looking for a consensus on design! I dont think there are any actual eagles in museums etc, so have nothing to base it on! BR Ian

    Roman Legion Eagles

Does anybody know of a company/person who makes eagles? Looking for one in 1/9th scale for a project. Is the attached picture a suitable rendition, or is it too ornate? Would they have had the banner? Were the laurel leaves attached? Thoughts/comments/suggestions please! BR Ian

British Infantryman 88th Foot, Spain 1810/12 Stormtroopers New Release

Think I owe Stuart and Carl an apology for diverting the original post! My copy arrived yesterday [brilliant service by the way!] and as said, its a really nice bust, regardless of regiment! As an old War of 1812 reenactor I may just skip from Spain to the Niagara frontier to find my...
