    Jeremie Bonamant Figure Painting Classes

Hi! Two colleagues and I have organized a painting class with Jeremie last may in Montreal. Frankly it was a huge success. The students included Golden Demon winners to people who had first picked up a brush 6 months before the class. The feedback were unanimous in how the class had provided an...

    Princess Leia bust

Eeeh... I am afraid that it looks more like a men than leia... You seem to control well the different paste you used but the anatomy is far from believable. The head is too big and has the attribute of man more than a women. The arm is too short and the hair definitely needs more finesse. You...

    Progress with my Giant

Excellent start here! One comment though, the fleshtones are maybe a little bit to alive for a severed head. Yes it might be fresh but more sickly tones might help to the dramatic! Keep on!

    World Nations Trophy Competition

I did not see any limits on the numbers of members! Of what I read the minimum is two members, a leader that can be a member at the same time and a judge. Therefore the team can be composed of a minimum of 2 members, in which case only one painted the entire display, up to whatever you want!!!

    Luftwafffe pilot

No, it is more in relation with the composition of your color. Its tone is too bright. Next time try cutting it with grey or a point of its complimentary color (in this case orange) in order to get a more realistic tone which will be less flashy!

    Luftwafffe pilot

Nice work indeed! I do agree that the blue is too light. Furthermore a little bit of dessaturation would help it a lot as well! But technically it is a really nice piece! Tourlou!

    General Lee

Either the white metal had small holes in it over that part which could be fix with a putty or your primer slightly ruined the smooth surface! If it ever happen with the primer simply brush it with toothpaste and a toothbrush under running water! Otherwise really nice job! The tone of the face...

The snow is a mix of bicarbonate, water and PVA glue with powdered glass sprinkled on top. For the clothes just use the basic mix a little bit more diluted and apply at the desired location. You can always replace or thin the snow when almost dry with a wet brush.

    Knight Hospitaler Bust

This is a nice piece indeed! A better pic would do it more justice but still impressive. If I may though I find the cloth a little bit to simple. More contrast would really help it stand out more! But otherwise keep the good work!

    Light with painting

I personally use two flexible lamps, one left and one right with the new energy saving bulbs defined as Daylight. Why the new energy saving bulb? Because they do not produce as much heat therefore you are not sweating at your table!

You'll find the poster here: http://www.lelancier.com/AMFQ2006.html As you can see it is next weekend, 18 and 19 of March at Fort Stewart on St Helen Island in Montreal. In term of size and caliber I cannot say unfortunately. It will be the first time I will assist to it myself. It is suppose...

    Thunderbolt Mountain Red Knight

The key with varnish is the quantity. If you will apply it by brush dilute it. It will still do the job and apply a thinner coat therefore making it less shinny. Same with spray, make sure to apply it by little dose from at least 30 cm away from the model. By little dose I mean don't spray...

    Pegaso Finished Wood Bases ?

I personally directly deal with a woodworker. This way you get the exact size, essence and shape you want for often less than what these companies are selling for!
