I really love these type of scenes. Quite, and full of character.

    Historex Spares Madness III

Historex ROCKS! I have a great deal of Historex dating back all the way to my childhood. Of all the things that I have lost to time, these small pieces of plastic was not one of them. Great work so far, very interested in seeing this finished. Paul

"OFFICIER DES CARABINIERS, 1812-1815" (Alexandros Models)

I really like the figure (bust), especially the facial features and the look in his eyes... almost contemptuous and arrogant. Paul Finally getting back into miniatures again... it has been over 10 years since I have completed anything.

    Review Pegaso 1:9 Spartan Warrior

What I really like about this bust, is the dynamic composition it expresses. Most times it is very difficult to get nature involved with a static figure, much less a bust, but having the wind blowing and moving his clothing really seems to make it more tangible to the viewer. Paul

    Stippling

Hi Peter, I lived in San Diego about 7 years ago. I'm up north now in Thousands Oaks, which is about 45 minutes west of Hell A. Do you belong to the local IPMS chapter? They do a great job of keeping the hobby alive down there. I have just started painting again, and so everything is new and...

    Jo Sonja paint question ?

I am just restarting figure painting myself, and understand your frustration. Primers come in all different potential colors and adhesion levels (some work better than other when it comes to not hiding the fine detail of a figure, and providing a robust foundation). Painting (airbrushing/rattle...

    Mirei-san 1/7 Secretary

Great Start That's a great start on her. She will be a handful (wink) but I can see your very experienced with such challenges. I have a few large scale Japanese ladies in storage waiting for some color... I'm glad to see other miniatures being discussed here other than strictly historic in...

Tips on how to beat high gloss with oil paint

Thanks for all the tips, I tried oils before and did ok with them. I am looking for more contrast and not losing highlights and shadow colors.

    WWI bust by Young WIP

After watching that series (something like 15 total episodes) it dawned on me how truly wasteful it was... He kind of looks like a serial murderer...

    WWI bust by Young WIP

That's a spooky looking guy. I have just finished watching a WW1 documentary series. I forgot how bad that war really was... like all wars. Great start on the bust.

    Buste Tank Commander (finished)

I really like the bust. Question on the nameplate, did you have it done someplace?
