Hi Malc, I haven't done a lot to be honest. I'm doing this figure in tandem with the MG42 Gunner and I've really struggled with the face on that one so I've put it down for a while. I'm hoping to get back into them next week, so I'll post more then. Cheers, Paul

Thanks for your comments Colin. I really struggled with acrylics, in fact I was no good with enamels and I wouldn't even consider trying oils as I'm sure I'd be a complete disaster with them. The turning point for me was looking at the work of Calvin Tan and reading his Osprey book on painting...

Thanks Peter, it was a fantastic figure to paint - my only regret is I gave it away as a retirement gift to an ex Bootneck! Lovely figure. By the way did you sculpt the Foxwood British corporal in the leather vest with the sten gun?

I'm sure this was on sale at the Sword & Lance show in Darlington yesterday, very nice.

Thanks for all of the comments guys. For those who are interested this figure was done in Vallejo with the exception of the face which is done using the Lifecolour flesh set, with some Vallejo Burnt Umber. All of the lining, and some of the darkest shading was done with Rowneys Sepia Artists...
