Hi all, I thought I’d share this vignette I finished. It’s a bit of an ‘opus build’ for me as I’ve spent a couple of years thinking about how to tell this particular story. It’s based on something a real incident, albeit in a different era. There are a few firsts for me; first attempt at repositioning a figure, first attempt at re sculpting hair on a figure, first use of a ‘wedgie’ afv that I 3D printed and probably my first try at this sort of ‘storytelling’. My wife saw it yesterday and said ‘oooh, I actually like that one, it’s almost art’ which is also a first!’l

I hope you all like it, critique welcome as are any general thoughts/comments.

I like it. You are indeed crossing the boundary from craft into art IMO once you get in to creating unique pieces that tell stories and create an emotional response in the viewer. Effective storytelling in vignettes/dioramas is hard and I think you did a good job here. I immediately knew what you were trying to get across with this vignette. Well done!

Hi there Stefan

That certainly tells a story , tank looks good and the figure positioning works well , I agree ref using the Matt varnish on both figures , perhaps do a little weathering g on the boots as well

Thanks for sharing the project

Looking forward to seeing more of your projects

Have FUN @ the bench

A very evocative scene, one that transcends the timelines and setting, one that is repeated far too often, we really aren't a very nice species are we. I agree a spot of weathering and some matt varnish will lift this to a whole new level, I love it mate.

Cheers Simon
