Hi all - just finished up this one; a British Lt.-General, Autumn 1944 in 1/9 from Mitches Military Models. The sculpt is based on the actor Edward Fox who played XXX Corps commander Gen. Brian Horrocks in the 1977 film, “A Bridge Too Far.” Seemed an appropriate project given that this September marks the 80th anniversary of Operation Market-Garden. My usual oils and acrylics:

Another one beautifully landed Brian & agree with Ski - BD uniform texture comes across nicely.
Glancing look over shoulder is effective too. What’s next?

That's looking great, Brian. Fine work on the uniform texture, too, someting I still haven't tried.

Thanks, Ski! I sponged on the texture with various khaki tones, along with stippling more focussed along edges and seams.

Cheers,
Brian

Thanks, Mike! In the queue I have an RAF pilot bust from Young Miniatures. I also have an Ottoman soldier, partially completed by a friend who passed away suddenly a couple years ago - big shoes indeed.

Cheers,
Brian

Hi Brian

Thanks for sharing this , one I’ve had on my line to do for a while , this is a great version , particularly like the uniform textures and effects

The flesh is as always really well done and nice work on those ribbons

This will be my reference for mine
