Hi PF friends,

It has been a while since my last post; too busy to paint new stuff in the past few months. But I'd like to share the latest work I finished painting here - 1:10 Samurai bust which was sculpted by Charles Agius and released by Limbo Miniatures. It was a great experience for me to paint this bust because it provided me with the opportunity to do some interesting reference research before painting and try some new stuff during painting, which I always enjoy.

Hope you like it. As always, any comments or suggestions are truly welcome.

I have expressed myself on the historical accuracy of the sculpt on a previous post. That aside, your paintwork is breathtaking!!!!I love the fact that you have taken the time and trouble to depict details such as the weaving pattern of the ito (woven silk tape forming the criss-cross pattern on the tsuka) and the hamon on the blade.Your freehand designs are also stunning. As for the face/skin,you have achieved a naturalistic effect that invites envy!!!!A masterpiece,an absolute masterpiece!

Lovely paint job, excellent face, I liked this bust when it was released but took on board the comments that some of the armour was sculpted with a fairly thick appearance so I didn't buy one, however I would say that a good paint job like yours has shown that this bust can be an impressive piece when finished.

Armor that this person is wearing is a format that is not familiar to me. It looks very strange. But your painting skills will blow this problem far away. Overwhelmingly amazing! ! !

Thank you very much to all of you I am very happy to know that you like my painting of this bust. Much appreciated for your kind words and encouragement.
