Another piece from my auction house lot. This one had not been painted so no stripping to do, which given the interlocking detail in the "bling" would not have been easy. Old (discontinued?) Pegaso "La Corsaire". Absolutely flawless casting spoilt only by me losing a section of one of her braids while cutting them to reposition.

Progress over the weekend to glaze in the main skin tones and detail her eyes. Done in acrylics.

Bit of tidying up to do around the eyes and lips and add more definition on the freckles then paint in her nose ring. Her eye makeup style was taken from this example:

Half of the head seems to be missing, but other parts are there and very prominent. Good progress so far.

Hi Rob

Not my thing but a good piece to paint , liking the fleshwork so far and the eyes look good

Presume there's a cap to fit as well as on this version by Laurent Aubrey ( aka Pisco ) from Putty and Paint

Looking forward to seeing more

Have FUN @ the bench

Thanks guys, she is a lovely figure to work on, even if, as my wife pointed out, I am reliving a teen crush by painting Agnetha Faltskog

Thanks Nap, this kind of thing is pretty much the entirety of my collection (plus a few fantasy bits). I blame Le-Van Quang and his "Belles" series from the late 90's, wonderful models to paint.
This pegaso girl is my warm up to tackle the Pacific Belle which I have in my old stash. Hawaiian fabrics, although not much of it and a distinctly different ethnicity, face structure and skin tone. Will be interesting.

Hi Rob

Sure you'll do a fine job on the pirate but I do agree I loved the Pilipili Belle busts ......wish I could find them still

Look forward to seeing things progressing

More progress on Agnetha.
I did her lipstick, cleaned up the area under her eyes and finished her freckles. To check colour tones I blocked in the dark base hair colour around her face and similarly her shirt which will end up near white.
Gave the bling around her neck a base of brown/bronze and painted the green neckerchief. I opted for a warm green on this to accentuate the same green tone in her eyeshadow but may yet rework it in a cold green more akin to the original base green colour of the first image.

I managed to get a couple of painting sessions in despite the extreme heat we have been experiencing in the Canaries.

I have base coloured all the bling, its associated chains and ribbons and the pearls, the sharks teeth and sea shell. This won't be completed now until after the mattcote as I don't want to lose the shine.
I tried to paint the jade beads and drop earrings but these came out far too saturated. Not quite as dark as the picture makes them appear but still not "jade". Will be re-working these.
Painted and weathered the leather belt and buckle and finished her shirt except for a final moderating glaze and to tidy up the joins with her skin and belt.

Next up to finish her braids and the hat.

Painting her hair and the bandana will be tricky as the balance of the figure means I am supporting her with either finger pressure on the top of her head or the back of her hair when painting.
