Hello - once again I am turning to the experts on here for assistance..

does anyone manufacture 1/16 / 120mm scale accessories for WWI British (for preference) or German figures and dioramas? I mean things like helmets, boots, weapons, personal effects. I am going to try casting my own resin bits but need masters

thanks in advance!

Just a thought but the few bucks your saving yourself will add to the reasons another miniature company goes out of business. Nobody gets rich in this business.

I am in the process of producing some British WW1 accessories, but not for a re-caster.

Making some copies of parts that are hard to get for own use is something else than recasting and selling the recasts guys.

Having said that, Richard, if the parts you seek are available in accessory sets I'd recommend to just buy them and save the trouble and cost of moulding and casting. Don't underestimate the learning curve with this.
Alternatively, you can contact the original manufacturor and ask what a few spares would cost. Most figure companies are pretty small scale and will probably help you out. And you can feel good about giving your business to the creator instead of to the rubber and resin company!

er, if I was going to recast and sell these for profit, then I could see your point, but I'm not - I'm wanting to do a vignette with several figures, built from scratch. I'm perfectly happy to buy as many parts as necessary, but it's not viable to buy them for each individual figure. I'll scrounge second hand parts if necessary. If I can cast some of my own stuff, then I will. And don't tell me plenty of other people both on this forum and others don't do it, but by far more underhand methods. At least I'm being honest.
