Hi all!

Because I'm obsessed with painting skin I started yet another project :)

Alpines sublime ( IMHO ) 1/35 Bobby Woll figure!

I really like the natural relaxed stance, the face and the sculpting of the clothing. I have Wittman to go with him but TBH I think I will do this just on its own.

I used Vallejo surface primer for the first time on this and although it's good and shows all the detail it seems a little delicate, so I may end up stripping this and starting over with a sprayed on rattle can primer!

Anyway this is the result of an evenings painting, obviously the cammo ( pea-dot? ) will take ages so an update when I can :)

I know that right eye is rubbish but to be truthful, I can't actually see it well enough in the real world to do anything about it :(

Thank you for choosing a boy from Alpine. :)

I think you are on your way to find yourself a very unique style here.
I love the way you painted the flash. Yes, it is a bit rough in blending.
But it reminds of those old oil paintings. Great lively use of colors!
Good choices of colors as well. If you can subdue the five o'clock
shadow around the mouth and chin, I think the face will look great!

The uniform can be painted in both 44 pea pattern or oak pattern (summer side only).

Good luck!!!!

Nice start mate on this gem, this figure is awesome.

Taesung ... Thanks for commenting on the figure and I have done some more work on the face and hands ( still not finished ) ... I'm astounded by the levels of detail you sculpt into these and also a little intimidated by how good the box arts are! :) and I'm thinking of using both pea-dot and oak as I have a few pics in my reference that suggest it was quiet common :)

Ken ... Many thanks :)

Pedro .. Cheers and it is!!

Carl .. thanks and Thanks! Still a trace of the little bleeder in my next set of pics ... Arrrgh! ;)

Okay I painted an Oak Leaf A Summer pattern ... is it too small?

I also worked some more on the face and tweaked the eye a bit more ... :)

Anyhoo pics ...

Progress ... Expanded the camo pattern, still not all that but it will suffice! Head almost finished just need a couple of glazes of black on the cap and sort that skull badge out :(
