Moving ahead with Owen. After several years of using acrylics an inks almost exclusively I am enjoying rediscovering oils. They are great for these large busts. Plus I have the fun of swimming against the current of fashion.

Thanks Robert - I appreciate it.

I left Owen too close to my desk lamp for too long and badly burned him. I will look more carefully tomorrow to see if he can be salvaged.

Keith I will post a photo when I get home next week. It is getting a little tight. I may need to relegate some early work to the warehouse where they keep the Ark of the Covenant.

Colin I think I can paint over the charcoal. Think of it as black primer :-0

Maybe is time for a new curio. Leon's has a new one in the 350ish range. They look very good and the price is good. Checking around I couldn't find one under 500. I think that Costco has one in the same range (300ish).
Awesome work! Will follow closely!
Cheers,
Zeno :)

Very well done Colin.
I know it's just a small detail but that Sam Brown cross belt looks very special.......a good amount of 'spit and polish'. Also the the back flash is a nice carryover from the days of yaw for this regiment.
As always first class work Mate

All the very best Colin,
Keith
