Great job Tony. Now get ready for some "expert" to tell you the helmet should be khaki. You can support the apple green using Tony as a reference, which should end any argument. You will also find support on Great War Forum. You have done them proud.

Somehow seemed to have missed this one ,looks great Tony , got the weathering and sweat just right (y)
Good luck in the forthcoming comp.

All the best Tony in the competition,I'm very confident this will do extremely well mate,I like all your projects but I especially like this as it depicts a soldier how he should be in the field,I have this piece and although I've already got a project on the go I will use yours as an inspiration mate when I get round to painting mine, once again congratulations on a terrific job

Yes, best wishes for the competition Tony. Good on you for making those changes. You have to be pleased with it. Splendid job.

A very nice rendition of a good kit. I painted this one myself a while back as a tribute to my great uncle Walter who was killed in 1914. It was given a service cap rather than a helmet that was made by my friend Housecarl and the bust was very well received here on PF and I am glad that yours is too. Good luck with the competition. Excellent work.

Thanks again to everyone for your kind comments on this bust.

Personally, I think Ben Flood's Battle of Britain bust in sepia tone is a lock for First Place in the Busts category at WASMEx this weekend guys. I guess we'll have to leave that decision in the hands of the judges.

Pleased to report that my bust received second place at WASMEx this weekend behind Ben Flood's awesome Battle of. Britain pilot with dog bust painted in sepia tone. Great work Ben- well deserved mate.
