1 last decal question

The helmet from the below post was painted with Tamiya acrylic it has been dry for a week or more can I lay down a lacquer base then decal ? Let it set up then do I go over that with a gloss or dull coat to blend in the edges ? The final step would be lacquer so I can weather a little bit with enamel ? Thanks again rob

Lay down a gloss coat and let that dry. Apply the decal, it will set better on the gloss. Then apply a matt coat to get rid of any shine or silvering from the decal.
