I have had fun with painting this miniature, also the research.
Painted in oils , acrylics and inks.
I have added a tongue to the Draco, just to be different. Some stone carvings seem to suggest one.

Wow Bob that's just beautiful. So colourful and I like the little bird on the shield. You must be very pleased with it. Regards Pete

You have a real eye catcher there, Bob. This is a beautiful piece and man that blue is downright electric! Like the nameplate too. (y)

Joe

Gosh, he's colourful. Beautifully done.

Thank you all for the kind comments, it was a fun project and not my last dabble in the Ancients.

Cracking job there Bob. The leathers especially are fabulous. Also nice to see a late Roman for a change, rather than the usual 1st Century early Empire stuff.

Hi Bob

Catching up a touch with things , as others have said colourful and it works well , the leatherwork looks excellent

Nicely presented as always and good references

Do look at the competitions see link below

Look forward to seeing more ancients and anything else from your bench

Have fun @ with the brushes

Excellent work Bob

Really impressive figure Bob, another cracker.

Cheers Simon

That’s beautifully done bob and well presented

Pretty awesome work, Bob, awesome!

Very nice figure that I did not know yet, and excellent paintjob. Nice colours!

Thank you all very much for the great comment's, really chuffed with the way this one has turned out. The blue has photographed a tad too bright, it is ultramarine blue from AK acrylics.
On to the next figure.
