Hi Guys

I have been searching the net for some good images of the webbing and equipment for the 101st & 82nd Airborne WW2, it seems, not to be an easy
thing to find for some reason. So if any body has any, it would be much appreciated.

I also want some info on the badges and insignia for the 101st, I know the 82nd had the flag on the right arm, but I take it the 101st didn’t, also what would have been the tag painted on the side of the helmet, and would there have been any collar/shoulder badges on the M42.

Sorry if it seems a little unknowing of me, I am a complete novice as far as WW2 is concerned, especially these subjects.

Thanks in advance

Dave

Hi Guys

Thank you very much, interestingly enough this is one site I knew about, but still no images of webbing on here, thanks again, if you have any other sites they would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Dave

In terms of equipment the 101st used the M1936 suspenders and musette bag combination
pics below some troopers also wore shoulder protectors for the normandy jump details below

You are correct the 101st didn't wear the U.S flag that was only the 82nd

they wore on their left shoulder the badge below
