Yes, it is, Peter and Roc, but, unfortunately, I'm looking for a European child. I thought I might add him or her as a Belgian kid in the RND diorama. I have a couple nice pics of Belgian kids looking on while the RND fellas are doing various things. Thought I could modify a figure.

Kreston - Thanks for the tip! I've just gone to the Parkins web site, but unfortunately no pictures. Have you seen any? Also, it says that the Remembrance vignette won't be available until "September". Of course that could be September 2004 or 2100! Who can guess? Sent them an e-mail asking. That might work out very nicely if I could get my hands on them. The boy could be in the RND diorama and the mom could be standing near the road sign in the "Belgian Cav at Work" diorama.

All the best,
Dan

Dan, C'mon, not up to sculpting a little kid? It might be a bit of a fun departure from sculpting soldiers.~Gary

Gary - Actually it's the kid's head I'm intimidated by! I haven't gotten past the "head" hurdle for adults, much less kids. But - maybe - problem solved. TLB has a 120mm head that I think may work. At least the pictures on the site look like a young boy's head.

As for the rest of him, I'd like to sculpt those parts! I have a couple pretty good period photos of Belgian refugee kids. A little boy watching the British soldiers walking past, very curious and somewhat in awe. What do you think? Would that be a nice addition to the RND diorama?

All the best,
Dan

I think a little kid would be a neat addition. Let us know how you make out.~Gary

OK, OK, OK. I think I been conned, but I started working on a little Belgian boy. I've got a really cute picture of 7 or 8 Belgian boys all holding sticks "...being sojers". One of them has this huge mischievous smile - that's the one that got to me! I hope I can capture that look.

All the best,
Dan

Dan, Let us know how the head comes out as that will probably be the more challanging part.
