Have started on this 120mm Firing Line Resin Kit of a modern Brit Squaddie and feel I may have started turning a corner with painting the dreaded flesh. Hope so anyway, so long as I can see some improvement I guess on each figure.
I think I need a break from the p*ss*n DPM! I start seeing double after too much of it at once so have done some more groundwork. Have still got some large PE Bracken to place to the left of the tree stump. I am trying a suggestion I was given at Aldershot at the weekend for bulking up the PE bracken branches/trunk, using White Glue - I have just applied it with a toothpick so will keep you posted how it turns out. For the grass, I appled some watered down white glue over the Verlinden static grass then a chocolate brown wash and a tiny bit of light green dry brushing which seems to have improved it greatly over the rather fake looking colouration it has straight from the packet. Its probably all obvious stuff to most of you but I am a real greenhorn when it comes to grounwork but I am really enjoying trying out all of these new techniques - thanks to everyone who has passed on valuable tips -cheers
