Other: Base Diorama material from model railroad and backyard. Additional details include lead foil for gun sling, binocular strap, and Iron Cross; vendor purchased decals for collar and arm; and P.E. Iron Cross around neck.

Steve: Sorry about the background as I was looking for some natural lighting and perhaps picked the wrong location.

Super Anton: Wouldn't you know it, the first time I simply followed the box art colors, and of course they are wrong. Verlinden lists the figure as an SS Cavalry Officer, but they show red piping. After some quick research I have to agree with you that it should be "golden yellow" for the Cavalry. I guess he will have to be either in the artillery, a panzer group, or engineering (all similar colors of red). I did notice in the period photos that the cropped riding pants were not just worn by the Cavalry, but also other German's in the officer corps. Taking that into consideration I am reassigning him to an SS Panzer Group which would also go along with the camouflage jacket. Thanks for bringing that to my attention as I have now learned a valuable lesson to always do the research before painting.

Thanks Adrian.. I agree it is an older kit, but it's now it can be found very cheap and it's still great fun.
