Hi guys!

I've this incomplete 120mm figure of an Umayyad infantryman painted many years ago from Hofy or Cifi brand, I don't remember it very well, isn't a good figure and isn't a good work, my technique I think that is now better, but I've decided give to it an opportunity and finish it giving to it a base with the piece that I show in the photos, I've a special attraction with it.

I hope it likes a little.

Cheers,

Francisco

Hi Francisco

Glad you decided to do more with this , liking the patterns on him , nice work on the shield

Look forward to updates and seeing the base and figure together

Have fun@ the bench

You might not be happy with it but I would be, especially the pattern work, nice base piece that will really set the figure off well.

Nice job, and great to see one of these painted up!

It's a Cifi piece, I know this because I have one buried somewhere deep in the stash as a two-figure release with another figure, which I believe is a heavy cavalryman (he's the guy standing next to this one in the picture from the Osprey book that you've added). I bought them from a model shop in Germany in the late 1990s and I still haven't painted either of them!!

The casting isn't bad but the other figure's sword is done in like a strange bendy plastic, almost toy-like. I might have to dig them out and have another look at them because I've basically ignored them for years.

Thank you very much Steve. You've right my friend, this figure comes with another but I've discarded to paint it, isn't an aceptable figure for me, it doesn't convince me and I don't have enough time for painting figures without an enough quality or interest.

Cheers,

Francisco
