Hi Folks,

120mm Brécourt Manor Assault, 101st Airborne Division, June 6th 1944
The Brécourt Manor Assault took place on June 6, 1944, during the D-Day invasion of Normandy. It was a small but pivotal action carried out by a paratrooper unit from Easy Company, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division. Led by First Lieutenant Richard Winters, a group of about 12 men was tasked with neutralizing a German artillery position near Brécourt Manor, which was firing on Utah Beach.
Winters and his team executed a textbook small-unit assault against a heavily fortified position manned by the German 6th Fallschirmjäger Regiment. Using flanking tactics and coordinated attacks, they methodically destroyed four 105mm howitzers and killed or captured many German soldiers. Despite being outnumbered, Easy Company secured the position in under an hour, significantly reducing German artillery fire on the beach.
This multi part resin kit depicts the taking of one of the 105mm Guns by Easy Company. The kit also includes alternate arms with 101st and 82nd Airborne insignia.
