I am working from the ground up on this one (No pun intended). This will be a private soldier of the light company and with the flower pot lacing in pairs will be great for the 12th Foot. The facings were yellow but changed to white in 1812. The figure is from Elan13 miniatures.
you can buy the ground work grass mat, which is about 23cm x 13cm rom ammo by Mig, I think this one was a pine forrest floor.
The size of the base is 40mm x 40mm and mounted on a plinth by Ron Tamburrini. I have added extra grass tufts and some longer grass from a fishing company that sell stuff for making your own flies for fly fishing. Don't ask whats it called as I have no idea, I brought it years ago. The little yellow flowers are made by dipping the grass tuft in fine sand, wait till dry and paint the colour of your choice.

Hi Bob!

The base is simple but effective. Imho if you use grass tufts for the higher grass you will obtain even better results.;)

Cheers,
Pedro.

I can see where your coming from, it was to be wheat or similar, but I did not want to do one tuft at a time.
I will try on the next one.
Thanks Pedro
