I have the Andrea Knight Hospitaller kit SM-F42 and intend painting it with the alternative head wearing a helm.

My problem is not being well up on medieval armour etc. I'm not sure if this is correct for a Hospitaller. I've only ever seen pictures of Teutonic knights wearing ones like this. Admittedly only on model figures.
I've searched various forums and websites and my head is spinning. Hospitaller, Teutonic or both and what colour, can anyone help?

This is not my cup of tea, but an helm like this, without the wings, can be the right one.

Thank you. I think you may be correct. The crest must be removed to represent a knight of one of the military orders.

I think the crest must off the helmet. The crest's where usual on the helmet at tournament, not on the battlefield.

When you find the crest look at the knight and his years of living. Look then if he was in a crusade.

If you want him to be a Hospitallier order knight, I mean - an Order Brother not any secular knight, - you should remove the crest.
