Some historical notes on the somewhat cryptic title of the figure:



On October 10, 1410 there was a battle between Knights of the Teutonic Order unter Michael Küchmeister von Sternberg and Polish troops under Sędziwój from Ostroróg and Piotr Niedźwiedzki near Koronow.

The battle was decided in favor of the Poles, when the knight Jan Naszan (the figure Shows him) brought down the Küchmeister von Sternberg with his horse and thereby captured his personal banner ...:








The German leader was captured and his people fled the battlefield. 8,000 knights are said to have died in that battle.
