Hello Guys,

Here is a Shenandoah piece with a Hornet head representing a well-known 146th NY Zouave during ACW.
That's a "big" guy and old reference but still a "must-have".
Hope you like... (but still distortions with the pics... looks better in real)

By the way : Happy New Year to all of you ! ;)
Thierry

Beautiful job Thierry! I love the shirt, tricky to do in 54mm.

I've got this figure sitting in my gray army and this makes me want to add it to my growing list of projects.

I'll definitely save your photos as examples of how it should be painted. :)

Cheers,
Ken

Hello Ken, if you want to modify as I did, the Hornet head is from the 1/32 range (big size of course and the original has no moustache)

Thanks to you and Edward for the comments (y)

Terrific work; I like the shirt as well. I have this one too and it stares at me on my work bench every day begging and pleading to be painted, but there is always something else to paint.

That is a very nice figure and close to my heart because I love Civil War zouaves. The old Shenandoah range are still some of my favorites and the Hornet head works well.
Excellent work.

Thierry, this is a marriage made in heaven. Shenandoah produce some excellent figures and are in danger of being forgotten. Shame as I love their range. Matched with an excellent Hornet head, this is a lovely piece.

What work did you do to the head?

Hello Blind Pew,
Thanks for the comments, I appreciate :)
The head is from the set H3204 (the first on the right on the enclosed pic)
I just add a moustache, then first sculpt the Fez on the head and after the fez I sculpted the hair (very usual way to work)
Hope this helps !
