Just the one partially finished figure starts to show the potential of this project, can't wait to see more.

Malkie

Agree there Malkie ......wonder what the story behind the positioning ......are the tactfully leaving the position?...or attacking from their trench

The figure certainly looks a nice pose

Looking forward to seeing more on this from David ...his modelling is always well thought out and good to follow

Thanks, Malkie.
They are a wee bit small, but still great value and there are some excellent sets. I guess ICM checked the market and went with the popular scale: accessories are more available in 1/35, for example.

I don't seem to be getting any notification for your project, I am following so don't know what's going on there.

Nice progress with the figures, ICM are some of the best of this type and you're making them look great. Nice touch with the guy working the bolt, once the warm weather comes around it will be great to see paint on them.

Nice scenery especially in the snow, we had some in NE Hampshire for a few hours but then it rained all night! Off to the Lizard in Cornwall this weekend, hoping for rough seas and wind.

Cheers Simon

More snow walking today. At work this time.
Got the car stuck, for the first time in God knows how long. Colleague did likewise; he had a spade in his van, so we both got out and helped another person to do the same.
All very jolly.

Hi, congratulations for the idea and the realization, italian subjects are rare and I'm happy to see them made.
ICM figurines are really nice and as you wrote they depict Italian soldiers in the first months of the war (Italy entered the war on may 24th, 1915) because they are not equipped with the Adrian helmet [Adrian's first batches, of French production (with Republique friezes and bleu horizon paint) were supplied to the troops in the fall of 1915 while the Italian Adrian, Mod. 16, was produced starting in the spring of 1916], they did not have the puttee supplied from november 1916 and boots of the first type.

In this plate an italian soldier in the first months of war

Here an italian soldier at the end of the war (has a British-made gas mask, mollettiere bands over the socks, haversack instead of backpack, a new model canteen and leather-colored boots instead of the previous black ones)

This makes the Villar Perosa machine gun (delivered to the wards from April 1916) incompatible with the scene. I also have some doubts about the Austrian ironclad (if I am not mistaken, the first use on the Italian front would date back to the first AU gas attack on Italian front against Monte San Michele on June 30th, 1916).
Hope I was helpful, have fun and happy modelling
Vittorio

Enjoy the snow, not much chance of it down here, mind you hysterical panic sets in after an inch or two, snowed in cars and drifts cause utter bedlam!

Cheers Simon
