Hi All
This is the latest figure that I have been working on, the Latorre 70mm 14th cent knight. I found the yellow a real pig to paint but the challenge was worth the final result. Once the paint is dry tomorrow I can add the last of the weathering on the legs and bottom of the tunic, also some highlights on the sword. All painted in humbrols and oils, more pictures and movie will appear on my web site in the next few days http://tommi-miniatures.moonfruit.com
Any comments welcome
Cheers

Beautiful painting Tommi. I have seen alot of this figure painted up since it was released but yours is by far the best I have seen. I have saved the images for my slide show collection.

Jeez that's good; real artistry! I'm an absolute beginner and I'm starting to wonder what I've got myself into.
You blokes are masters!

Many thanks guys for your kind comments, I really enjoyed working on this one, tonight I will get the final touches on the figure and groundwork, fit a name plate then take some more photos for my web site. Back to finishing off the 75mm Greek now.
Vergillius, I used burnt sienna as my first shadow blending out a long way to the edge of the folds, then burnt sienna with a small amount of sepia blending again but not as far as the first blend, the deepest parts were then blended with lamp black once the paint had dried, wet on dry, hope this helps

Hi Tommi just came across this dont know how I missed it. Dont tend to do too much yellow as it can be a bit of a pain, but you have done a nice job on this one.

All best David

Hi David
Many thanks for your kind comments, the yellow was very difficult to deal with painting wet on wet, the oil used for the shading just seemed to move around and did not blend to well, managed to find a way in the end to deal with it.
Cheers
