A while back I bought a set of three AWI busts from Ellies Miniatures' and this is the final one on the bench. I kept it till last since it was my favourite of the three.
It's a superb sculpt by 'offo' of an officer of the 17th Light Dragoons (scale 1/10).
Painting is the usual mix of enamels, oils, acrylics and printers inks.
Hope you like it.

Hi Andrew

Good to see you are painting , thought you had been quiet !

Love the finish on this ...one of my favourites from Ellies , your lacework looks great

All 3 together look really nice ...big pic ....for me !

Pleased you liked him Kev.
The lacework is my mix of silver printers ink (El Greco) mixed with Humbrol matt varnish (which I tried out with the Poniatowski bust).
It seems to work well and gives a suitably matt(ish) finish for lacework. I also used it for the epaulettes.
This can then be added to with touches of pure printers ink for local enhancement, where necessary.
Yes, I'm still painting. I have a Guadalcanal bust nearly finished and a couple of figures in the prep stage.

Cheers,
Andrew
