17th Mississippi Infantry, June 1861.

[Viking Bob]

A bust from TFB miniatures, some nice detail but I removed the canteen stopper and made a smaller one from lead wire. I also removed the chain from the stopper and replace with fine wire to represent string. All in acrylic and inks.
17th June, Arrived at Manassas Junction and brigaded with the18th Mississippi and 5th South Carolina regiments under Brigadier General David R. Jones. On the 18th June, they saw action at Blackburns ford and came under artillery fire but suffered no losses.

Yes, I did notice you brought the same bust at Bugle call and no I did not build up the lace as I thought the lace is not that thick but it was testing my patience to paint in a straight line.
