This figure turned up on eBay a few weeks ago. I was aware that it was OOP, and the figure that arrived had suffered a little and was missing a couple of minor parts. It is however an attractive figure. In addition to correcting the few problems I also added the piping between the trouser stripes with fine solder wire. The figure was undercoated with Humbrol sand aerosol. The major colours were blocked in with Vallejo acrylics and shading and highlighting performed with Humbrol enamels, acrylics and oils. The flesh was painted in oils. The figure was mounted on a base from Oakwood Studios and the name plate was from name-it plates:

Happy modelling,

Really lovely work on that guy, I especially like the subtle shading and highlights.

Thank you both.

It is very easy to overdue the shading and highlighting on large figures due to the effects of natural light.

These 180mm Le Cimier figures are rare as hens teeth

It's actually a piece made in several sizes/scales for Gordon Mitchell of MMM. But I agree about the le Cimier figures, some of which are superb, others a touch wooden. I'm on the lookout for the knight and one of the mounted figures as well as a couple of the Pegaso 200mm figures.

I would have thoght that £125 to £150 would be more reasonable in that scale.......................
