Many thanks Pierre, I learnt plenty doing this one. I was in Leuven over the weekend, we got the train to Brussels but it all became too difficult with two wheelchairs to get to the Army Museum, maybe next time.

Cheers Simon

I hope you had a good time in Belgium.

Our medieval city centres aren't exactly wheelchair friendly and neither is the Royal Army Museum. I'm surprised you managed the Grand Place, all cobbles and stones!

cheers,

Pierre

Yes I really enjoyed the trip, I prefer Leuven to Brussels to be honest but the architecture is beautiful, more than makes up for the bumpy ride. I had my first taste of Flemish beef stew in the Domus brewery, that is one I am going to have to make at home, absolutely delicious.

Cheers Simon

Being born and raised in uptown Brussels , for me it is THE city. Cosmopolitan and at the same time very neighbourly in the quarters out of the centre.

Leuven certainly has its charms, though it can get rather boisterous when the students let loose!

cheers,

Pierre
