Hello all,

Here my latest figure.

A soldier from the 1st New Guinea Infantry Batallion on New Britain, 1944.

1:35 scale.
Conversion/scratchbuild using various resin items of Firestorm models.
Sculpting is done with Magic Sculpt and Duro. The Owen gun is from Bravo 6.
Painted with acrylics.

Excellent to see you doing this Pacific Islander Robert.
Always choosing your own path of esoteric subjects which so deserve to be done.
And your the miniaturist to do it.
Liking detail of Japanese ammo box as well as webbing worn over his bare torso.
Inspiring stuff mate.

This really is excellent. Another story told by one simple figure. Excellent work, as there is no hiding place on such an apparently simple figure.

Superb work all round. Lovely conversion and great painting.

Fantastic figure RJ, really like his skin tones, he conveys a sense of purpose, I think you have captured these warriors very well.

Cheers Simon

Thanks Simon! Skintones are a pretty basic mix from Browns and light skin colors from AK.

Wonderful work Robert Jan. Another really unusual subject from you and brilliantly done.

Thank you Merry, for this great compliment.

Wonderful work again

Mobo

Thanks again Mobo! Always very much appreciated.

Interesting subject, differing from the norm. Skin tone is great. Congrats
Melanie

Thank you Melanie. So much interesting and inspiring people to model. I painted my share of ww2 germans in the past….so much more to explore.

Thanks for the nice compliments Mike. Again so much inspiring stuff to do. Diving into the history and lives of my subjects is a favorite part of my modelling.
The ammobox is a resin item from Plusmodel from their type 92 machine gun set.
