A slowish WIP of an Aussie Digger serving in Rwanda.

The figure is a Phil Walden sculpt, sadly now out of production, but formerly released by the Military Workshop in Brisbane (they have now refocused the business on selling militaria, prints and King & Country figures).

This is a first attempt at painting AusCam and in using acrylics to paint flesh. All comments and suggestions / observations welcome.

Real nice start - face & camo are excellent!! Never saw this figure before - must be a well kept secret from down under!! Dave

Thanks for the comments Gents...

hoping to get some tidy up work done on the camouflage and start on the webbing tonight...

Damn fine job sir. Surely someone has a strategic stockpile of these kits somewhere?

First time I have seen this figure, Phil does some excellent sculpts of Anzac subjects, I didn't realise he had released any in 200mm, his normal scale was 120mm.
Looking good so far, Auscam is looking good.
Steve

Webbing pouches - v nicely detailed by Jason Miller.

Webbing blocked in...

Limited progress... started on the webbing pouches, but am still deciding on whether the water bottle pouches should be camouflaged or OD...

Have started on his left hand and dpcu trousers... all comments / suggestions welcome

Next "major" to do is to secure him properly to his base and fix up the length of his feet... also going to shorten his right index finger on the trigger guard (he has an ET length finger at the moment!!!).

Some more progress... trousers done bar the shading / detail and weathering.

3 pouches done, again bar the weathering and shading / detail.

All comments welcome...

next is to finish the shading and highlights on the trousers and the attached pouches, then to start on the water bottles and re-sculpt the feet to make his boots bigger...

after that it will be to add the fore grip to the rifle and attach his right arm... and then the hands!!!

off to find a base...
