The knight I did for Gordon has numerous options for helmets, weapons and heraldry (https://www.planetfigure.com/threads/200-mm-medieval-knight.116811/).
I decided to produce a version of Sir William Marshall, probably the greatest Englishman in history, and almost certainly the least well known. He was advisor to Henry II and three of his sons, knighted two princes, was Regent to Henry III and father of the Magna Carta!
I have modelled him after he had his own Coat of Arms, in the late XIIth Century with an open faced helmet and curved kite shield.
I have blocked in the major colours. The sword hilt, spurs and axe are being painted separately (as is the shield and left arm). Shading, face, heraldry and base yet to be done:
Happy modelling,
Mike
