Hi Rob:

thanks for the kind word, Rob. Oh you are so right, as to hosting an IPMS
National Convention, anywhere on the Planet. And most of the
attendees have no idea.

Here in Kansas City, USA, a chapter I belonged to along with a
sister chapter in the Greater Kansas City area — as there are
5 IPMS chapters within 35 miles of Downtown KC — hosted the
IPMS/USA National Convention in 2006.

It was a two year committment. But the convention was very
successful, and we got a lot of positive comments from modelers
and their families about our event, (plus telling us they now
understand why KC is considered the BarB-Q capital of the world.
But that's another story.) I did a bunch of computer graphics
for the Best of Show awards, etc. But it was a worthwhile project.

Also, contrats to you people in South Africa for putting on the
football World Cup. I am sure the Citizens of your country are
justly proud.

Hey Mark:

Thanks for the kind words, Mark. I always try to find time, from when I'm not
walking around in circles; 1/10th of a mile circles, to look at your WIP forum
posts. As I have said in the past, your work in 120mm is a real inspiration to
me. And I appreciate so much how you are willing to take the time to
present your WIP photos and comments that are such good tutorials. And
your camera work really lets us "viewers" ("we" viewer?) see exactly what
your doing, and what you're talking about. You are a journalist and maybe
you do not realize it. (y)(y)(y)

Thanks again, mate,

Rick

Hello to my fellow Scotsman. . .

Hello David:

Altho my Dad's forebears came to America from Scotland, I've never had the
pleasure of seeing the topographical beauty except for photographs and
movies.

Thanks for taking time to reply, David. Hopefully, the rather "different"
looking base will attract some attention sitting on the category table. . . in
Phoenix.

So you know Alexandre Dumas?

Hey Eddy:

It was kind of you to take a look. Love the "handle" and I'm sure that
Alexandre Dumas would be happy to know you're using his young hero's
name, from The Three Musketeers. . . . Could it be "Deja vu all over,
. . . again", to quote Yogi Berra. . . especially appropriate on Bastille Day. . .

Right?

Thanks again,

Ricardo

Thank you Michael. . .

Thank you Michael for your most welcomed words. I do so appreciate you
taking a look see. I really enjoyed working on this fantasy piece. I don't do
fantasy very often, but it is a lot of fun, and a place where I can take a few
more chances when it comes to colour harmony. . .

Thanks again,

Hey Chippy, my amigo. . .

Thanks for the kind words, from way out west in the Bristol Area. I do
appreciate you taking time to look at these photos. I never could get the
lighting right, and even though I tried to colour correct in Adobe Photoshop,
the overall cast is not exactly like the skin surface of the bust. In some
places the blue is too pronounced, and the pink is too weak, in the photos.

But at least you get an idea. Thanks again,

rick

Good luck w/ work on the Conservatory, mate!
