Hi guys, this is my latest work.
Conversion The Bodi 35193 "M18 Hellcat crewman#1" and scratchbuilt naval mine.
1/35 scale
When World War II broke out, US Naval Construction Battalions (Seabees) did not exist. What had to be done was to build staging bases to carry the war to the enemy, across both oceans, and create a building force to do the job.
The solution: tap into the vast pool of skilled labor in the United States; put him in uniform to build anything, anywhere, under any conditions and ask the Marine Corps to train him. On D-Day the Seabees were the first to land as a Naval Combat Demolition Unit (NCDU).
The liberation of Cherbourg and Le Havre gave new work to the NBCs. These were the ports that would replace the Mulberryes. Anticipating that the Allies would want ports, the Germans mined them and left them in ruins.
I hope you like it.
