This is how it's looking at the moment. There's a few areas to play around with yet and I'm waiting for an illustration to get the top edge of the cummerbund correct and it should be about finished.

Not a flats painter Roger but think this is super. The blue of his tunic is wonderful and you have done a fabulous job of his pagri. Waiting to see the finished piece.
Like you, I find the Indian Army an interesting study. Worked with an other engineer who's grandfather had been in the Bengal Lancers. That stood us in good favour when we worked in Pakistan and India.

I agree re the heads I think they would sell ..with a good painting guide .

Cheers Carl, I have a nice piece of wood from Ulrich waiting at home to mount it on then it'll be finished. :)
I did look at buying a Gardner's Horse cap badge to mount alongside it but didn't have a spare 50 quid. :(
