Hello folks,
I am finally taking the time to finish these grenadiers of one of my favorite Foreign Regiments in French Service.
I had a thread that i could not find so i am starting a new one for the purpose of finishing this regiment, the officers and fusiliers including drummers and Flag bearers are done, the fusiliers are missing their fusils and now completing these 6 grenadiers.
Cheers

No wonder this Regt is your favourite love that blue very vibrant mate , looks great with the facing colour
as well ...

Really line the way the headwear has been done

If I may ..you have a white lace to the facing lapels ..can't see any in the illustration is the book missing it ..if so I am going to amend my copy !

Ooooh I can see a conversion on the horizon ......

Following with interest ".again!

Hey Kev, some sources show white piping on the laps, some not.
I really like the way they look with the white piping.
Cheers

I have started to work on the faces, i mad ea little stop to give the dark sky blue coats a wash to toned down the bright blue.
I tried a mix of one drop of scale 75 cantabric blue and one drop of scale 75 sky blue.
I love the result.
I retouched the yellow edges with g vallejo german yellow, which is a light pale yellow and helps to mute thenscreaming yellow down a little.

I have finished the x-belts, i outlined most of the uniform, gave a wash of stone grey andnwhite to the vest and pants to take away the bright white and decided to go for the white gaiters.
Most of the already painted regiment has black gaiters, but nothing wrong with the elite unit of the regiment to wear white, the frenchies had 3 pairs of gaiters, one white, one innwoolennblack and another dyed black.
Some of the regiments wore black gaiters , some white on their march to Yorktown so it wouldn't be wrong to add some of these lads with white.
The faces are done as well.
