Kev, for the base color i've used vallejo chocolate brown
First lights i 've added some beige brown, and for last lights i have added corck brown.
For shadows i added vallejo german brown black.

I have finished the x-belts, fixed some details on the coat , finished the hats , wigs and added a little bit more of contrast between lights and shadows on their faces.
Next step it will be the gaiters....

Ref the flags are these printed and do you repaint the colours again or do you make them from MS ? ..either way they look great

The flags are from GMB flags, i paint over some areas to enhace some details or change the color slightly.
Next step it will be the artillery, i need to build the slight terrain elevation and place the gavions and guns
