WIP 40mm Trident designs, "Cuirassiers du Roi Louis XV

Hello folks,
I finally got these figures from Trident designs, yes it has a new owner Phillip Gates from New Zealand, and website will be up in few weeks.
These figures ar epart of the new batch of the FIW/SYW range beautifully sculpted by Sean Judd.
The original figures are the French corps of cavalry in Canada, which i am converting to the cuirassiers du Roi, the only cavalry Regiment to wear cuirass over their coats at the time .
I sanded the shoulder belt, added the cuirass and liner, all i need to do is adding the straps.
As for the head, i've used one of the grenadiers from the AWI range, covered the front plate of the bear fur hat to resemble the ones used by this regiment at the time.

I have finished all the details on the cuirass, painted the base color for the fur hat usin vallejo black brown,
Base color on the pants, and finished the blue coat.
For the coat i've used scale 75 abyss blue, added lights with scale 75 sky blue.
For the red cuffs i've used vallejo Red, added red wash from Army painter and added highlights with vallejo orange red.
Cuirass has base color usimg testors metallic silver

Second cuirassier almost done, need to do details on the lower cuirass and liner, added the modified head as well.

I made some progress on thede chaps and started to work on the horse..

Still worki g on the horse, finished the saddle cloth in blue, edged with white, Aurore and red stripes as specified on the regulations for this corp of cavalry...
Finished the bearfur hat, hair and face.

Daniel, Thanks for the update on the Trident figure line. It is good to know that these great figures will be back on the market soon. I have painted almost all of my AWI soldiers, and was getting concerned that I would have to go on eBay to find any more. Excellent work on the cuirassier conversions. Best regards, Don

I am resuming my work on these chaps.
At the moment working on the lights nd shadows on the horses..
