Private 4th Pioneer Battalion AIF, France 1918.
Done in tribute to my Great Grandfather who served through all the Australian 4th Division's epic battles of 1918.

Stoked to see you be the first one to share this lovely little figure Graham. A fitting tribute to Aussies on Western Front & especially so your Grandfather’s story - shovel wrapped in sandbags harks back to the role of pioneers. Thanks for sharing & admire what you’ve achieved here.

Top stuff, Macca. Those apparently simple khaki uniforms are actually anything but simple. You've nailed this one, big time. I'm sure a lot of people will end up using it as their reference if they paint one - I certainly would. (y)

Thanks mate. I wanted to create a contrast with a newer tunic and older breeches and leggings.
