Stoked to see you be the first one to share this lovely little figure Graham. A fitting tribute to Aussies on Western Front & especially so your Grandfather’s story - shovel wrapped in sandbags harks back to the role of pioneers. Thanks for sharing & admire what you’ve achieved here.

Top stuff, Macca. Those apparently simple khaki uniforms are actually anything but simple. You've nailed this one, big time. I'm sure a lot of people will end up using it as their reference if they paint one - I certainly would.
