I don't collect these as my area of interest is the French-Indian War period (yes there is a difference)but if they put out any woodland indians I will probably buy them.

Yes, I know there is a difference, The FIW is what got me into American history.

KC doesn't have a line, they have an AWI line.Frontline does but not my taste.I use to collect Jenkins but I don't care for the faces on these.Conte had a Ranger/Indian line a few years ago Right now I just got 3 Andrea woodland indians and Infinity Shapes Hawkeye plus Tom Meier's 8 figures (32mm).painted.Markus of Scorpio Models has started a 40mm line.He has only one set out right now but is working on more.Sorry to get off track.

Jenkins' French-and-Indian War figures still have a look that belie his origins as a sculptor of wargaming figures. Some of them look a little out of proportion, as many wargaming figures do. John's subsequent work has gotten increasingly better, better proportioned and well-finished. Frontline's are still very close to their origins as the inheritors of King-White/Reeves, sculpted and painted in what was known as "the Chinese Style". In any case, as was noted, those lines are all meant more for collectors rather than painters/modelers (though there is very good work being done, using such figures, making vignettes and dioramas, or repainting them. Have a look over at Treefrog Treasures toy soldier forum, if you've never been).

Prost!

I just noticed I have an Imrie Risley British Grenadier in my stash, which while maybe not a top of the line figure is actually quite nice and I would be willing to let it go pretty cheaply. PM me if interested.
