54mm ASTINAX Secutor Gladiator

Been not painting for some time as my good friend Ray as I was travelling in the dark side and playing with tanks lately ... so here again this guy was a shelf 'king' for quite a period fiddling with the skin tone when I decided to finish him up ... still have some shadows here and there to be taken care of but job almost complete ... and some MIG pigments to dust him up!

It's a Secutor Gladiator rival of the retarius [that is why I put some marine elements on his shield] named ASTINAX a real secutor who faught and won in the arena. Painted in oils and tried to come up with a weathered tan skintone maybe a guy coming fro the North African/Middle East countries ...
