The sixth and last pirate head..(whew) using Michael Clark Duncan as a basis for the stocky/brute pirate character... now on to the client for production of the six peice set and possibly some complete figs from Bill Chilstrom in the near future! (y)

Started with the basic skeletal shape..

formed major anchor points: chin, nose, cheek and brow bones..

packed on some cheek and inner cheek/nostril pinches to emphasize the grin...
pirate6003.jpg

tweaked the grin and stubbed in the ears tucked back some due to the wide grin...
pirate6004.jpg

rolled in the nose and squinted the eyes...
pirate6005.jpg

detailed the ears, fleshed out the neck with some 'rolls' for thickness..

completed shots..

Before I even read the text, I was thinking "That looks just like the dude from 'The Green Mile'." Amazing. Especially in such a small scale.

Outstanding Gordy...well done...can't wait to see how these beauts are going to be used...maybe a commercial casting?

Hope all is well

Patrick
