Here is my version of Il Volto del Comando’s limited edition (150 copies) of General Colbert as he might have appeared on January 3, 1809. On this date he was shot from the saddle at long distance while pursuing Sir John Moore’s retreating army to Corunna. The marksmanship feat was performed by rifleman Tom Plunkett of the 95th.

Il Volto del Comando produces these Napoleonic kits, available direct from Piersergio Allevi.

Acrylics (hobby & artist’s) and acrylic inks.

A very dramatic piece , do like the work on the horse and the saddle and saddle cloth .

Again the work on the golds really works

Looks nicely detailed as expected with the origins

Do you believe that is my first mounted figure larger than 1/48 completed in my 50+ years in the hobby? I was a little surprised when I realized that. I have since done another that I will post at some point. Thanks Nap.
