Off to a great start. I like the looks of the helmet

So I decided I hated the my first pass at the WWI gray. I went a different route and went to a lighter gray. I feel it’s easier on the eyes and less of the Feldgrau gray from WWII.

Nap, the original Uniform color was feldgrau with sunny skin tone highs. The shades were German Camo Brown and Sea Green. I hated it and went with a softer gray. The think it will be easier to create contrast. We shall see.

It’s like learning how to paint all over again.

The colors were base of black and German uniform. Then went to a tan yellow, and Olive Drab. German Camo Brown for the black lines. Highlights were sunny skin tone.

That's a nice figure Mike, coming along a treat. I do like your 2nd pass on the fieldgrau, a whole lot better.
