this is the 120MM 57th west middlesex drummer from Mitches Military Models sculpted by Maurice Corry. This figure is depicted during the battle of albuera during the peninsular war in 1811. Figure is painted in vallejo and andrea acrylics. This particular gent was inspired by the painting called "Die hard Drummers" by Lady Butler.

Can always distinguish a Capuano-painted figure from the rest of the crowd--meticulous detail and great shading/highlights. This is no exception: well done.

Very nicely finished. I've got two of the drummers in stock and I'm just about to order 4 more as I think they are wonderful. Not sure whether to get the sergeant and fivers yet as I think the drummers alone make a great scene.

Beautiful work, Dan. This may be the first Napoleonic piece of yours that I have seen. I like the yellows and the lace details a lot.

Just one minor issue - don't the eyes need pupils?

Yep your are right Kurt. I added them after you mentioned it. Just an oversite on my part.

Superb paint job Dan. A very colourful figure. I have the full set of nine figures to paint at some point.
Cheers
