Guys.

I have the 120mm Moz figure of the above (the chap with the saddle over his shoulder).

The web page states he is dressed in Undress uniform, and the pattern of the tunic would seem to confirm this.

Am I correct in thinking the stripe down his trousers will be Red?

Gold stripe being for Dress uniform.

Another question about this one.....Moz had a guide re saddle / stirrup strap arrangement on his old 120mm site, is it posted anywhere else?

Managed to retrieve these 3 pics off the net hopefully they'll help ?

I'll be interested in the answer to this too. The only painted version I've seen shows 'gold'

Officers and very senior ratings/NCOs tend to be a law unto themselves. In 'The Thin Red Line' by the Fosten brothers, the Scots Greys officers have a gold stripe for dress and a yellow for undress. However in 'Into the Valley of Death' by the Mollo brothers and B Fosten, a 5th DG officer is shown with a gold stripe and a shell jacket. I suspect either a yellow or gold stripe would be alright.

Helllo Gents,
For the Crimea the stripes on Officers of the 5th DG (and others) overalls were changed from various configurations of single and multiple red stripes to yellow as opposed to gold. They would have been of a worstead type material so painting should be a matt cote rather than the sheen effect needed for gold.

I love your redition of this fine figure Del. Will you be posting more views of it once you are finished? Please:whistle:
Thanks for finding the saddle pictures Steve, very useful for me at the moment Mate.
Cheers,
Keith
