Hello Planeteers

Sorry have just noted that the post title says 6th, my mistake it's my 8th figure.

I have nearly completed the pelisse, just some tidying up between the facings and some final highlighting and shading. Was pleased with how the woolen lining has come out. Not hugely pleased with the brass buttons, so may well add some final old gold touches to bring them to life.

I have also finished the boots, and Hungarian breeches. Have dusted them with Tamiya weathering master, light sand, also applied some to the knees as if he has recently knealt down, although I'm not sure that the images have picked up on it, as it is quite subtle, IMHO it looks better in real life.

Groundwork

Here are some shots of the groundwork, this is my first forray into doing my own and again I'm quite pleased with how it's come out. It's a mixture of Woodland Scenic and Games Workshop materials.

Finally

Thought I'd show some general images, as it's beginning to gel together.

As always comments and critique are most welcome and positively encouraged

Thanks for looking.

Dear Tim, caught this one quite late. Looking good old son. Figures in such large scales are intimidating to do but you've managed to pull off this one with some aplomb.

Thanks everybody for your comments. Comming from the likes of Maurizio, Figure Mad, Blind Pew, Dave Cox et el, it's praise indeed.

Have been away for work, so haven't done anything for about two weeks.

Am on the final straight now, just the swordbelt and sabretache to do along with the gloves and sabre. Which seem to be the hardest as the belts are too long and the sabre seems a bit on the short side, will hopefully have him finished for Welling on the 29th of this month.

I'll hopefully get some more done today and be able to post some images later this week.

My 6 year old has asked to start doing some painting as well, she's just started the horse for the Bengal Lancer 1/12th sacle that I got from my father, I'll hopefully post some images of her work so far this week as well, I must and not at all biased she's started off really well!

Thanks again for looking!

Regards

Tim
