Hi again

Thank you all for the comments and I hope no one thinks me rude if I just plough on and start the Blog ? (y)

I did the face today ... usual mixes in acrylic.

As stated in my OP this is my first 75mm and I'm suprised how small it seems and yet is so much larger than a 54mm or indeed a 1/35th... wierd!

Anyway here is the head in place and 3 viewed ... what do you reckon to the colour of the helmet?

Lovely start Mark. I think you're have got a fair bit of leeway on the helmet colour. From olive green through to khaki.
Will you have it with you Sunday?
Carl.(y)

Thanks for the comments guys :)

And Marc. The figure is blu-tacked and pinned so will disassemble when painting :)

New castings have arrived from Stu.

I'll let the pictures do the talking and I will be working on this as soon as I can. Blog updates will be at the end of sessions as I need to crack on with him now :)

Mark great progress and I bet you're enjoying this one with not a single section of camo in sight. :) Following(y)

Cheers Ken

Done my very best to find the faults mentioned in this figure and strangely I cant find any.
Must be your impressive paintjob that covers all the faults Mark or perhaps there just are not any!
Lovely bit of work Mark, really brings out the very best the British Officer in that awful conflict.

Don

Ken ... Thanks :)

Carl ... Cheers mate ... took some doing :)

Tommi ..... Thanks :)

Don ... Many thanks :)

Coat basics are done but may need to add some more wrinkling, not sure yet. Buttons need some more attention as does that lining .... urgh!

Colours for the Burbarry are ...

Base ... Burnt Umber
Mid .... Deck Tan and German Cam. Orange Ochre mixed 2:1
High ... Mid with Light Flesh added

My white balance needs re setting so it looks a bit odd ....

I thought you were doing the "Chav" lining on the Burberry?;)
Looking great mark, will you be bringing it Saturday?
Carl.
