Hi all here is a future release from TFB Miniatures, it’s a scene that according to legend took place during the Spanish Morocco war 1921 to 1925. We will be getting a proper title for it in due course.

We thought we would try something different and this came up. It was originally released a few years ago in 54mm and a limited edition of 100. We are re releasing this in 75mm and it will not be a limited edition so people will have a chance to buy it over time

We will keep you posted on a release date which should be xmas we hope.

Steve

Originally released a few years ago by Semper Fidelis (as you say in 54mm) with the title "Ras Medua, A Spanish Legion Tribute". I picked it up literally a fortnight ago from a seller in Hungary called Bigbear Miniatures, who is a member here.

My question is: Will your boxing come with the base as well? I ask because when I opened the box, I was disappointed to find that there is no base included, despite the box pic (and the photos here) giving the impression that it comes with the base.

I contacted "Bigbear" (Gabor) about it, and his (eventual) reply was that his stock have no base and that he would contact Jose who runs/ran Semper Fidelis to clarify .... but so far no further confirmation one way or the other has been forthcoming. I also believe that SF are no longer trading, as I know they sold off a lot of their masters - and now this one as well - and as far as I am aware nothing has been released under the SF name in quite some time. So I'm not holding my breath.

The figures themselves are great, but the base issue has left a bit of a sour taste. Creating my own wouldn't be beyond me ... but that's not the point.

Anyway, this will be a nice release in 75mm. An interesting and original subject as well.

Good Night Steve!

Gabor contacted me this morning, although I have been out of the market for a long time, these things must be resolved in the best way.

Gabor is going to send you a base for your scene in a few days, I have sent him the original so he can prepare a copy for you and send it to you at no cost.

We should not stop enjoying the hobby and the figures we buy because of these mistakes that are unfortunately made more frequently than we would like.

I send you my apologies, because in the end it's my fault and I hope you enjoy the entire scene with its base when it arrives to you.

Thank you for your understanding.

Jose
